TitlingGothicFB Skyline Standard Regular

Titling Gothic FB Skyline Standard Regular is part of an immense typeface family designed by David Berlow between 2004 and 2005 for the Font Bureau. This specific cut is inspired by the classic sans-serifs of the early 20th century, specifically the functional and industrial aesthetics of the American Gothic tradition. The 'Skyline' width represents the most narrow and vertically elongated of the seven widths in the family, designed to provide a high-impact visual presence in extremely tight horizontal spaces.

Unlike many other condensed faces that feel mechanical or stiff, Titling Gothic maintains a sense of elegance and rhythmic flow. It was meticulously crafted to handle the rigorous demands of high-end editorial design and branding. By combining the raw power of vintage wood type with modern digital precision, Berlow created a versatile tool that remains a staple for designers looking for a sophisticated, authoritative, and space-efficient sans-serif.
