Tourney Wide ExtraBold Regular

Tourney Wide ExtraBold Regular is a high-impact display typeface inspired by the bold, geometric lettering often found on vintage sports jerseys and athletic branding. Developed by Tyler Finck and released through Etcetera Type Co, this font is part of a larger variable family designed to bridge the gap between retro collegiate aesthetics and modern digital design. Its wide proportions and heavy weight make it exceptionally readable at large sizes, ensuring that any headline or title commands immediate attention.

The construction of Tourney is rooted in precision and geometric consistency. While the family offers various styles including hollow and outline versions, the ExtraBold Regular variant provides a solid, powerful foundation. It is released under the SIL Open Font License, making it an accessible and robust choice for designers looking to infuse their work with a sense of energy, competition, and contemporary style across both print and digital platforms.
