Typold Extended Extra Thin

Typold Extended Extra Thin is a sophisticated geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Jonathan Hill for the foundry The Northern Block. This specific variant explores the extreme horizontal expansion of characters while maintaining an incredibly delicate stroke weight, resulting in a typeface that feels both futuristic and elegantly architectural. It is a refinement of modern typographic principles, engineered for high-precision digital display and luxury print applications.

The font belongs to a comprehensive superfamily that balances mathematical geometry with subtle humanistic adjustments to ensure optimal legibility. In its Extended Extra Thin form, the typeface excels at creating a sense of openness and luxury, making it a primary choice for high-end editorial work and minimalist branding. Its wide proportions allow for a unique rhythmic pacing in headlines, particularly when paired with generous letter spacing in contemporary design layouts.
