Typold Extended Thin Italic

Typold Extended Thin Italic is a high-performance geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Jonathan Hill for The Northern Block. As part of the expansive Typold family, this specific variant was engineered with a focus on mathematical precision and modern aesthetics. The Extended proportion provides a cinematic and commanding horizontal presence, while the Thin Italic weight offers a delicate, sophisticated slant that implies speed and elegance without sacrificing clarity.

By refining the classic geometric model, Typold achieves a unique balance between technical accuracy and visual warmth. The wide apertures and clean strokes make it highly legible in digital environments, while its refined thin profile excels in high-resolution print. It is an essential choice for designers seeking a typeface that embodies innovation, architectural strength, and a futuristic outlook for premium brand identities.
