Typold Extra Bold

Typold Extra Bold is a powerful geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Jonathan Hill and released through The Northern Block foundry. As part of a larger, highly engineered family, the Extra Bold weight was specifically developed to offer a commanding presence in visual hierarchies. It balances mathematical precision with refined aesthetics, resulting in a typeface that feels both contemporary and timeless. The design features a large x-height and optimized spacing to ensure that even at its heaviest weights, the characters remain legible and impactful.

Refined over several iterations, Typold Extra Bold serves as a bridge between traditional geometric construction and modern digital requirements. Its clean lines and robust structure make it a favorite for designers working on projects that require a sense of reliability and strength. Whether used in high-resolution print or on low-resolution digital screens, the font maintains its structural integrity, making it an essential tool for modern editorial design and corporate branding strategies.
