Vendetta Regular

Vendetta Regular is a contemporary serif typeface designed by the renowned sign painter and type designer John Downer, released through the Emigre foundry in 1999. It is a unique reimagining of the Venetian Old Style tradition, taking inspiration from the 15th-century types of Nicolas Jenson. However, unlike traditional revivals, Vendetta features sharp, faceted, and almost chiseled edges that give it a distinct woodcut or pre-industrial aesthetic when viewed at display sizes.
