Yertlealus Regular emerged from the digital revival movement of the early 2020s, drawing inspiration from late-Victorian transitional serifs and the sharp precision of modern digital drafting. Designed by Aurelius Typographic Studio, it was conceptualized to bridge the gap between historical elegance and the stark requirements of contemporary high-resolution displays, ensuring a timeless aesthetic that avoids the cliches of standard retro-revivalism.

Technically, Yertlealus features a generous x-height that significantly enhances legibility at smaller point sizes, while its moderate-to-high stroke contrast provides a sophisticated rhythm in long-form text.
