Blacker Display Bold Italic

Blacker Display Bold Italic is a contemporary wedge serif typeface family designed by Francesco Canovaro and Andrea Tartarelli for Zetafonts. This typeface serves as a modern reimagining of the high-contrast editorial fonts popular during the 1970s, characterized by aggressive wedge serifs and a sharp, sophisticated aesthetic. The Display variant specifically focuses on tighter kerning and exaggerated contrast to ensure maximum impact at larger sizes.

The Bold Italic weight of Blacker Display provides a dynamic, rhythmic flow that combines classic elegance with a rebellious edge. It was developed to fill the gap for a typeface that could handle both high-fashion luxury branding and gritty, experimental editorial layouts. Its unique personality comes from the juxtaposition of its sharp terminal points and the fluid, calligraphic roots of its italic construction.
