Blackout Sunrise Regular

Blackout Sunrise Regular is a bold, experimental display typeface designed by Tyler Finck. It is part of the larger Blackout family, which was inspired by the process of filling in the counters of letters to create massive, solid blocks of text. The Sunrise variant is specifically characterized by its thin horizontal slits that cut through the thick letterforms, giving it an industrial, stencil-like appearance that interacts uniquely with negative space.

Released through The League of Moveable Type, this font is a staple for designers looking to make a loud visual statement. It is best utilized in large-scale formats where its raw energy and geometric construction can be fully appreciated. Because it lacks traditional counters, it challenges standard legibility in exchange for a powerful, urban aesthetic suitable for modern graphic design projects.
