Bodoni Moda 18pt Bold Italic

Bodoni Moda is a contemporary revival of the classic Didone typeface originally designed by Giambattista Bodoni in the late 18th century. Characterized by its extreme contrast between thick and thin strokes and its vertical axis, this digital interpretation is part of a variable font family that includes optical sizing. The 18pt variant is specifically engineered for medium-sized display use, ensuring that the elegant hairlines remain visible while maintaining the signature sharpness of the Bodoni aesthetic.

The 'Moda' project focuses on making the typeface accessible for modern web and print applications, refining the proportions to suit 21st-century design standards. The Bold Italic weight adds a sense of dynamic sophistication and urgency, making it a favorite for high-fashion branding and luxury editorial layouts. By utilizing open-source licensing, this font bridges the gap between historical craftsmanship and modern digital accessibility.
