Bodoni Moda 48pt Bold Italic

Bodoni Moda 48pt Bold Italic is a refined digital revival of the iconic Didone serif style pioneered by Giambattista Bodoni in the late 18th century. As part of an optical size system, the 48pt version is specifically engineered for large-scale display use, ensuring that the high-contrast hairlines and razor-sharp serifs remain crisp and legible. The Bold Italic weight provides a powerful yet graceful slanting rhythm, embodying the elegance associated with high-fashion and luxury aesthetics.

The typeface was modernized by Owen Earl to meet contemporary digital standards while preserving the extreme vertical stress and geometric construction of the original metal types. This specific variant is ideal for designers seeking a sophisticated, authoritative voice that demands attention in editorial layouts. By utilizing the Open Font License, Bodoni Moda has become a premier choice for creatives who require world-class typography without the constraints of traditional licensing.
