Butler Bold

Butler Bold is a sophisticated serif typeface designed by Fabian De Smet. It was inspired by a creative mix of the high-contrast Bodoni family and the stencil-like Dala Floda. The project aimed to bring a touch of modernism to classical serif fonts by refining the curves and improving the overall balance of the characters to suit modern digital and print environments.

The Bold weight of the Butler family is particularly striking, featuring high contrast between thick and thin strokes. It includes a comprehensive set of 334 characters, including ligatures, figures, and fractions. This weight is specifically optimized for large-scale display use, ensuring that every curve and sharp edge stands out in professional editorial and branding projects.
