Jun Italic

Jun Italic is a refined iteration of the classic Jun typeface, a staple in the library of the prestigious Japanese foundry Morisawa. Designed as a rounded sans-serif, or 'Round Gothic' style, it was created to provide a softer and more inviting alternative to the stark, sharp-edged sans-serifs of the mid-20th century. The Italic version specifically adds a sense of rhythm and forward momentum, making it ideal for highlighting text while maintaining the font's signature friendly and approachable demeanor.

The technical brilliance of Jun Italic lies in its perfectly rounded terminals and consistent stroke distribution, which ensures high legibility across both print and digital platforms. Over the decades, it has become a go-to choice for designers seeking a balance between professional clarity and organic warmth. Its versatility allows it to function effectively in minimalist layouts as well as vibrant, high-energy advertisements, securing its place as a timeless asset in modern typography.
