Jun Regular

Jun Regular is a hallmark of Japanese typography, specifically a 'Maru Gothic' (rounded sans-serif) typeface developed by the renowned Morisawa foundry. Known for its soft, approachable aesthetic, it features perfectly rounded stroke endings that convey a sense of friendliness and modernity. It was originally designed to offer a gentler, more human alternative to the sharp edges of traditional Gothic fonts, making it a staple in high-quality Japanese graphic design for decades.

The Jun Regular weight serves as the versatile backbone of the Jun family, utilized extensively in both digital and print media. Its high legibility and balanced proportions have made it popular for public signage, children's literature, and sophisticated user interfaces where a warm, non-aggressive tone is desired. Its influence persists in the modern era, frequently cited as a reference point for clean, geometric rounded typography across the globe.
