KIDS Text Bold

KIDS Text Bold is a charming and approachable typeface designed to capture the whimsical essence of childhood handwriting while maintaining structural clarity. Developed by Mårten Thavenius, this font family strikes a delicate balance between a playful, irregular stroke weight and high legibility. It was intentionally crafted to serve as a bridge between formal educational typography and the spontaneous nature of hand-drawn letters, making it a favorite for literacy programs and youth-oriented media.

The Bold weight of this family significantly enhances its visual impact, making it perfectly suited for high-energy headers and impactful titles. Unlike many decorative scripts, it retains open counters and distinct character shapes, which are essential for emerging readers. Over the years, KIDS Text Bold has become a staple in children’s publishing, toy branding, and classroom environments, offering a friendly aesthetic that feels both authentic and professional.
