Loew Next Italic

Loew Next Italic is a sophisticated evolution of the original Loew typeface, developed by the renowned foundry The Northern Block. This geometric sans-serif was meticulously re-engineered to enhance its legibility and functional performance across diverse digital and physical environments. By refining the mathematical precision of the curves and balancing the stroke weights, Jonathan Hill created a typeface that feels both modern and timeless, successfully bridging the gap between industrial design and humanistic warmth.

The italic variant is not merely a slanted version of the upright; it is a carefully drawn companion that maintains the structural integrity of the family while introducing a fluid sense of motion. It features an extensive character set with support for over 70 languages and includes advanced OpenType features such as stylistic alternates, localized forms, and multiple numeral sets. This makes Loew Next Italic a robust choice for complex typographic tasks in global branding and high-end editorial layouts.
