Obviously Extd Medi Italic

Obviously Extd Medi Italic is a part of the extensive Obviously family, a typeface designed by James Edmondson and released through the OH no Type Co. This font family was born from a desire to explore the extremes of width and weight, breaking away from the rigid constraints of traditional geometric sans-serifs. The extended medium italic variant specifically offers a unique balance of substantial horizontal presence and dynamic forward motion, making it an excellent choice for designers looking for a voice that is both authoritative and energetic.

The design of Obviously focuses on maximum character and visual impact. By pushing the boundaries of the extended format, Edmondson created a typeface that excels in high-impact display settings. The italicization of the medium-weight extended characters adds a layer of sophistication and urgency, making it a versatile tool for contemporary branding, editorial layouts, and digital interfaces that require a bold, modern aesthetic.
