Quay Sans ITC Std Book Italic

Quay Sans ITC Std Book Italic was designed by the prolific British typographer David Quay in 1990. This typeface was crafted to blend the structural precision of geometric sans-serifs with the fluid, organic warmth of humanist letterforms. The 'Book Italic' variation offers a sophisticated, rhythmic slant that enhances reading flow without sacrificing the clean, modernist aesthetic that the ITC Quay Sans family is known for.

The design reflects Quay's extensive background in graphic design and lettering, resulting in a face that is both functional and expressive. Often praised for its high x-height and open counters, Quay Sans ITC Std Book Italic is particularly effective in editorial environments and high-end corporate identity systems. Its subtle calligraphic influence ensures it remains legible at smaller point sizes while looking striking in display applications.
