Quay Sans ITC Std Book Regular

Quay Sans ITC Std Book Regular was designed by the acclaimed British typographer David Quay in 1990 for the International Typeface Corporation (ITC). This typeface is a refined humanist sans-serif that balances the functional clarity of geometric structures with the organic warmth of calligraphic influences. Its design features a large x-height and slightly condensed proportions, which allow for high legibility even in space-constrained layouts.

The Book Regular weight is specifically engineered for long-form reading, offering a smooth rhythmic flow that reduces eye fatigue. Because of its sophisticated yet approachable aesthetic, it has become a staple in corporate branding, editorial design, and architectural signage. It remains a versatile tool for designers who require a font that is both modern and grounded in classical typographic principles.
