Quay Sans ITC Std Medium Bold

Quay Sans ITC Std Medium Bold was designed by the renowned British typographer David Quay and officially released by the International Typeface Corporation (ITC) in 1990. This typeface is classified as a humanist sans-serif, characterized by its unique blend of geometric precision and subtle calligraphic undertones. Unlike more rigid neo-grotesque faces, Quay Sans offers a warmer, more accessible aesthetic that remains highly legible across various media.

The Medium Bold weight specifically offers a versatile balance, providing enough visual weight for emphasis without losing the clarity of its internal spaces. It features a generous x-height and open counters, making it an excellent choice for complex information design and high-end editorial work. Over the years, it has become a staple for designers looking for a sophisticated alternative to more common sans-serif choices like Helvetica or Frutiger.
