Taco Bell Gras

Taco Bell Gras is a bold, geometric sans-serif typeface that gained worldwide recognition through its association with the iconic Taco Bell fast-food brand identity. The font is primarily based on the ITC Avant Garde Gothic family, specifically the heavier weights modified during the brand's major visual overhaul in the early 1990s. Its design is characterized by perfectly circular curves, sharp angles, and thick, uniform stroke weights that embody the geometric design trends of the late 20th century.

The term 'Gras' refers to the bold or fat weight of the typeface, emphasizing its high-impact and authoritative presence in marketing materials. This font is celebrated for its extreme legibility and its ability to convey a sense of modern, friendly, and accessible branding. While the official logo has seen minor updates over the decades, this specific bold style remains a nostalgic favorite for designers looking to replicate the classic 90s fast-food aesthetic or create strong, punchy display text.
