Thole Regular

Thole Regular is a contemporary sans-serif typeface designed by Nils Thomsen and released through the TypeMates foundry. The font is characterized by its unique balance between mechanical industrialism and organic warmth, featuring subtle rounded terminals and open apertures that enhance legibility in diverse environments. Its architectural structure provides a stable foundation for complex layouts, while the humanist touches prevent the design from appearing too sterile.

Historically, the development of Thole Regular focused on creating a versatile workhorse capable of performing across digital and physical platforms. The font avoids typical geometric clichés, opting instead for a friendly, approachable aesthetic that maintains professional rigor. Its wide range of features and careful kerning make it an excellent choice for designers looking for a modern alternative to traditional neo-grotesque typefaces.
