Eastman Condensed Black Italic

Eastman Condensed Black Italic is a powerhouse member of the Eastman family, designed by Francesco Canovaro and Andrea Tartarelli for the Zetafonts foundry. This typeface was conceived as a geometric sans serif that balances the rigid precision of modern engineering with subtle humanistic touches. The 'Black Italic' variant provides an exceptionally heavy weight combined with a dynamic slant, making it ideal for designs that require a sense of urgency, strength, and contemporary flair.

As part of a highly versatile 'workhorse' font system, this condensed version is specifically engineered to maximize space efficiency without sacrificing legibility. Its high x-height and tight apertures ensure that even in its densest form, the characters remain distinct. It is widely used in global branding projects, high-end editorial layouts, and impactful advertising campaigns where a bold, authoritative voice is necessary to capture audience attention in crowded visual environments.
