Eastman Condensed Exbold Italic

Eastman Condensed Exbold Italic is a high-impact geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Francesco Canovaro and Andrea Tartarelli for Zetafonts. Developed as a versatile workhorse, this specific variant combines a narrow, space-saving footprint with a heavy visual weight and a dynamic slant. The design philosophy balances the rigid principles of modernist geometry with subtle humanist nuances, resulting in a font that feels both industrial and approachable.

This typeface is particularly noted for its large x-height and open apertures, which maintain excellent legibility despite the extreme weight and condensed proportions. The italics are crafted as "true italics" rather than mere obliques, providing a sophisticated sense of motion and elegance. It is an ideal choice for complex editorial layouts, high-intensity branding, and any application where vertical space is at a premium but a strong message must be delivered.
