Laca Text Book Italic

Laca Text Book Italic is a meticulously crafted sans-serif typeface designed by Joana Correia for the Nova Type Foundry. Inspired by the nostalgic aesthetics of mid-century Portuguese soap packaging, specifically the retro "Laca" hairspray bottles, this font family transforms vintage charm into a modern typographic tool. The Text version is specifically engineered with open counters and balanced proportions to ensure maximum legibility in long-form reading environments, distinguishing it from its more flamboyant display counterpart.

The Book Italic weight offers a sophisticated, rhythmic slant that adds emphasis without disrupting the flow of the text. It harmonizes geometric structures with humanist nuances, providing a warm and approachable personality. This makes it an exceptional choice for designers who require a professional typeface that maintains a friendly and contemporary feel across both digital interfaces and high-quality print editorial projects.
