Laca Text Light Italic

Laca Text Light Italic is a refined geometric sans-serif typeface designed by Joana Correia and released through Nova Type Foundry. It is the text-optimized counterpart to the original Laca display family, which draws inspiration from the nostalgic aesthetics of mid-century Portuguese soap packaging. This specific weight balances the mechanical precision of geometric forms with soft, humanistic curves, resulting in a face that feels both approachable and professional.

The Light Italic variant is characterized by its subtle slant and open apertures, making it exceptionally legible for long-form reading in digital and print environments. With its generous x-height and careful spacing, it excels in contemporary editorial design, providing a rhythmic and elegant texture to the page that bridges the gap between vintage charm and modern functionalism.
