Laca Text Medium Italic

Laca Text Medium Italic is a refined extension of the original Laca family, designed by the Portuguese typographer Joana Correia. Inspired by the nostalgic charm of retro soap packaging from mid-century Portugal, this typeface successfully bridges the gap between vintage aesthetics and modern digital functionality. The 'Text' version is specifically engineered for high legibility at smaller point sizes, featuring slightly more generous spacing and robust strokes compared to the standard display versions.

The Medium Italic weight provides a sophisticated slant that adds a dynamic flow to body text without compromising readability. Its unique personality comes from its semi-rounded terminals and humanist structures, making it an excellent choice for designers who want to convey warmth and approachability. Developed under the Nova Type Foundry, it has become a staple for editorial projects that require a distinct yet professional typographic voice.
