Neue Frutiger World Black Italic

Neue Frutiger World Black Italic is an expansive evolution of the legendary Frutiger typeface, originally conceived by Adrian Frutiger and modernized by Akira Kobayashi. This version was meticulously crafted to meet the demands of global communication, offering support for more than 150 languages across multiple scripts including Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, and Hebrew. It maintains the original's core DNA—renowned for its humanist warmth and unrivaled legibility—while providing the weight and posture necessary for a contemporary, international aesthetic.

The Black Italic weight represents the most forceful slanted variant in the family, combining massive visual weight with a dynamic, forward-leaning energy. Despite its thickness, the font retains the open apertures and distinct character shapes that prevent clogging at high densities. This makes it an essential tool for high-visibility signage, authoritative corporate branding, and large-scale environmental graphics where clarity and impact are non-negotiable.
