Neue Frutiger World Heavy Italic

Neue Frutiger World is a massive expansion of the legendary Frutiger typeface family, originally conceived by Adrian Frutiger in the 1970s. Designed to meet the demands of modern global communication, this version was developed under the direction of Akira Kobayashi at Monotype. It maintains the classic humanistic warmth and unparalleled legibility of the original design while extending its reach to support over 150 languages and multiple writing systems across the globe.

The Heavy Italic weight is specifically engineered for maximum impact and dynamic presence. Its thick strokes and slanted posture provide a sense of urgency and authority without sacrificing the open apertures and clear character recognition for which the Frutiger family is world-renowned. It is an essential tool for designers working on large-scale international branding, wayfinding, and high-visibility digital applications.
