Neue Frutiger World Thin Italic

Neue Frutiger World is a significant expansion of the classic Frutiger typeface, originally developed by Adrian Frutiger for the Charles de Gaulle Airport in the 1970s. This updated version, refined by Monotype’s Akira Kobayashi, was designed to address the needs of modern global communication. The Thin Italic weight provides a sophisticated, lightweight slant that retains the humanist warmth and exceptional legibility of the original family, while offering a contemporary aesthetic for high-end design work.

The "World" designation signifies its massive language support, covering more than 150 languages including Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, and Hebrew. The Thin Italic variant specifically excels in digital environments and print layouts where a delicate, airy feel is required without sacrificing clarity. Its open apertures and distinct letterforms make it a favorite for corporate identities that require a global reach and a consistent typographic voice across diverse scripts and regions.
