Obviously Extd Semi Regular

Obviously Extd Semi Regular is a standout member of the massive Obviously family, designed by James Edmondson of OH no Type Co. This typeface is a contemporary celebration of mid-century American vernacular lettering, drawing inspiration from everything from garage sale signs to industrial branding. The 'Extd' or Extended variants are specifically engineered to maximize horizontal space, creating a bold, cinematic presence that feels both nostalgic and futuristic.

The Semi Regular weight offers a sophisticated balance within the extended family, providing enough heft for visibility without the overwhelming density of a black weight. Its architecture features wide counters and a large x-height, ensuring that it remains highly legible even when used in high-contrast layouts. This font has become a staple for designers looking to inject a sense of confidence and 'cool' into modern digital and print environments.
